Well, well, aren't you a lucky son of a gun? Long wait huh? — Legolas (talk2me) 07:16, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Haha yes it's been a while, thought about removing it for a while. Think I nominated it a bit hastily but a review would be helpful to develop the article and if it does not pass at this stage a renomination would be most likely. Thanks in advance, --FeuDeJoie (talk) 19:50, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
- Infobox
- 2008–2010 --> 2008–10 per MOS:DATERANGE
- If its in the soul genre, you don't need to include neo soul, as the main soul covers it.
- Add alternate text for the cover image per WP:ALT, to help in readers who are visually impaired.
- Since this is a concept album and is part of a series, a chronology is needed in this case, irrespective of the first release being an EP.
- Lead
- My main concern is that the lead is not according to WP:LEAD, meaning that although it summarizes the article, it nevertheless writes a pretty small synopsis. Seeing the article body length, I would expect it to be at least three paras.
- released May 18, 2010, on Wondaland Arts --> released May 18, 2010, by Wondaland Arts
- You need to somehow introduce the fact that the album is a concept album and then say "It consists of the second and third parts to Monáe's Metropolis concept series".
- There is no mention of the release and promotion parts.
- number 17 --> number 17, non-breaking space is needed always between a numeral and an alphabet.
- Total sales of the album in US are courtesy Nielsen SoundScan, so you need to mention that.
- Background
- The ArchAndroid is the follow-up to Janelle Monáe's debut EP Metropolis: Suite I (The Chase) (2007) --> The ArchAndroid is the follow-up to Janelle Monáe's debut EP, Metropolis: Suite I (The Chase) (2007), and....
- she was inspired by the quote --> to do what?
- discussed her incorporation of the android as a metaphor for a minority and the role of the story's protagonist in an interview for Blues & Soul, stating --> Grammatical error
- Monáe has said about the recording sessions --> Make it a new para
- the ArchAndroid I went through a very --> The ArchAndroid, I went through a very
- Why is the studio name in italics?
- link Turkey, Prague and Atlanta, not common place names
- Music
- You are talking about the musical style and its content, so this section name can easily be named Composition
- all the things I love - scores for films like --> En-dash instead of a normal dash
- Monáe has stated that the album's lyrical themes and storyline were heavily influenced by Fritz Lang's Metropolis. --> needs source
- Can yuo avoid repetition of the phrase "The track" in this whole section?
- Release
- In promotion of the album --> For promoting the album,
- link youtube
- Monae performed to her network debut --> I don't follow
- Again, continuous repetition of Monae
- sp mistake --> wwas
- In singles, when you say that a video was released, please be more explanatory, what did the video show, reception etc.
- Reception
- The whole chart performance section doesnot flow well, and is a week-by-week analysis with no conjencture. Please rephrase the whole section.
- Credit the total US sales to Nielsen SoundScan.
- Charts
- No need to mention Billboard with thje US R&B chart, and have it in its full-name, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
Needs work. Seven days on hold. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:23, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

- Actually the nominator has informed me that he's taking an exam and will be back after a week to fully address the comments. Hence I'm waiting to see if he does that. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:52, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Looks fine by me. I'm happy to pass this as GA. — Legolas (talk2me) 14:23, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
